Diamond: GIA Certified 2.78ct. J, VVS1, Round brilliant cut diamond.
Sold: $24,000
Pros: The table is 9.41mm x 9.56mm which is almost the same table size as a 3.25ct. round diamond.
Cons: The cut grade is good, the polish is good, the symmetry is very good but I’m looking for at least 1 “excellent” rating and two “very goods” ratings. When the table measures larger then the norm you want to be sure the diamond doesnt loose any brilliancy. ”J” color means and confirmed by looking at the diamond that there is a strong tint of yellow. The fluorescence ”very strong blue” rating helps lighten the J color but not enough. The diamond would need to be more yellow for the blue fluorescence to take effect.
Notes: Best offer I received here in the states was $20,000. The best market for this type of diamond is in Asia specifically India and China. I sent it to Shanghai and was able to broker a deal for $24,000.
